About

The Documentary

Walk On documents the inspirational journey of Joseph Kibler, a physically disabled 21 year old who was born HIV positive. Against all odds, and despite medical forecasts, Joseph has gone from wheelchair to walker; walker to crutches, and in 2008, he took his first steps with a cane.

Walk On follows Joseph as he physically trains for a lifelong goal, to walk 6.2 miles in the Los Angeles AIDS Walk. While he trains, Joseph educates and shares his message of hope by meeting with HIV/AIDS organizations, leading medical researchers, and newly infected individuals.

Joseph Kibler

Joseph Kibler was born alongside his twin brother John, March 22, 1989. Due to extreme developmental and medical complications, doctors discovered that Joseph, John, Mother, and Father were all HIV positive. John Kibler, Joseph's twin brother, passed away at the age of 15 months.

Most of Joseph's young life was spent moving between hospitals and medical research centers along the East coast. Despite these adversities, from a young age Joseph loved to laugh.

As a teenager, Joseph developed a strong passion for the Arts. He loved acting, writing, and entertaining people. Upon graduating high school, Joseph worked in theatre out of Clearwater, Florida before moving to Los Angeles in 2009.

Joseph, while continuing to be an active AIDS Activist, currently writes and acts on a regular basis. He is currently performing in a monologue play called "Sex, Relationships and Sometimes... Love."
